Position Summary: Coordinate the work of the Food Pantry and Community Advocacy Programs
A. Employee Development: (20%) ï‚·
- Visit program areas every year for 3-4 hours to understand better what they are doing and the clients they serve and fill out a recap of the experience. ï‚·
- Volunteer in the community 8 hours per year and fill out a recap of the experience. ï‚·
- Keep up your yearly certifications
B. Program Management: (25%) ï‚·
- Complete paperwork intake with clients, keeping their records updated according to policies. ï‚·
- Provide clients with information and referrals to services that may be available. ï‚·
- Distribute supplemental food/gifts associated with our programs. ï‚·
- Keep and promote client confidentiality.
C. Administrative: (20%) ï‚·
- Prepare and ensure accurate financial information, records, data reports, expenses, and payroll. ï‚·
- Maintain communication with Leads, our food shelves, and other agency staff. ï‚·
- Be flexible and available to help at other locations as needed. ï‚·
- Recruit, train, supervise, discipline and terminate staff and volunteers in compliance with Family Pathways policies and procedures. ï‚·
- Staff Meetings – Participation and stories
D. Marketing/Community: (20%) ï‚·
- Develop and maintain positive community relationships with existing businesses and churches. ï‚·
- Attend township meetings and other community events to inform community members of services and to learn more about individual community needs. ï‚·
- Meet with social service agencies and government agencies to promote our services. ï‚·
- Monthly turn in reports on what church and business leaders were met with. ï‚·
- Strengthen our volunteer base in the area
E. Fundraising: (15%) ï‚·
- Maintain balance of food in the food shelf through donations and purchases when necessary. ï‚·
- Plan and initiate marketing campaign for March Food Drive. ï‚·
- Plan and initiate holiday meals programs and how this will be paid for.
Qualifications: ï‚·
- Ability to work independently and with little supervision ï‚·
- Ability to lift 40 pounds ï‚·
- Experience working with a wide variety of people, including people in crisis ï‚·
- Knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office software ï‚·
- Knowledge of social service systems and the ability to research and find resources ï‚·
- Ability to pass a background check
