Position Summary: Coordinate the work of the Food Pantry and Community Advocacy Programs
A. Employee Development: (20%)   
  • Visit program areas every year for 3-4 hours to understand better what they are doing and the clients they serve and fill out a recap of the experience.   
  • Volunteer in the community 8 hours per year and fill out a recap of the experience.   
  • Keep up your yearly certifications
B. Program Management: (25%)                                                                                                                  
  • Complete paperwork intake with clients, keeping their records updated according to policies. 
  • Provide clients with information and referrals to services that may be available. 
  • Distribute supplemental food/gifts associated with our programs. 
  • Keep and promote client confidentiality.
C. Administrative: (20%)
  • Prepare and ensure accurate financial information, records, data reports, expenses, and payroll. 
  • Maintain communication with Leads, our food shelves, and other agency staff. 
  • Be flexible and available to help at other locations as needed. 
  • Recruit, train, supervise, discipline and terminate staff and volunteers in compliance with Family Pathways policies and procedures. 
  • Staff Meetings – Participation and stories
D. Marketing/Community: (20%)
  • Develop and maintain positive community relationships with existing businesses and churches. 
  • Attend township meetings and other community events to inform community members of services and to learn more about individual community needs. 
  • Meet with social service agencies and government agencies to promote our services. 
  • Monthly turn in reports on what church and business leaders were met with. 
  • Strengthen our volunteer base in the area
E. Fundraising: (15%)
  • Maintain balance of food in the food shelf through donations and purchases when necessary. 
  • Plan and initiate marketing campaign for March Food Drive. 
  • Plan and initiate holiday meals programs and how this will be paid for.
  • Ability to work independently and with little supervision 
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds 
  • Experience working with a wide variety of people, including people in crisis 
  • Knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office software 
  • Knowledge of social service systems and the ability to research and find resources 
  • Ability to pass a background check
